What courses do you offer?
What is the Class D Security License?
The Class D License is required to work as an unarmed security officer in Florida. The course consists of 40 hours of state-approved training.
What is the Class G License?
The Class G License authorizes licensed security officers to carry a firearm while on duty. Applicants must already hold or be eligible for a Class D License and successfully complete the required firearms training and qualification. The course consists of 28 hours of state-approved training.
How old do I have to be to enroll?
You must be at least 18 years old to obtain a Florida Class D Security License.
Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
No. A high school diploma or GED is not required for the Class D Security License.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- Course payment (if applicable)
- A notebook and pen (optional but recommended for course notes)
How long does the training take?
The Class D course is 40 hours and is offered weekly from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 6pm. The Class G course is 28 hours and is offered weekly from Friday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm. The Class CCW course is 4 hours and is offered every Saturday at 3pm.
How do I apply for my security license after completing the course?
After successfully completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and instructions for submitting your application, fingerprints, and fees to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Do you offer job placement assistance?
Yes. We provide career guidance and may refer qualified graduates to employers who are hiring security officers.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Students may reschedule one time at no additional charge within 30 calendar days of purchase, subject to class availability. All course fees are non-refundable.
What happens if I miss a class?
Please contact us as soon as possible. Makeup options may be available depending on the course and our scheduling policy.
Are walk-ins accepted?
Walk-ins may be accepted based on availability. We recommend registering in advance to reserve your seat.
How do I register for a class?
You can register by phone, online, or in person. Feel free to contact us for upcoming class dates, availability, and registration instructions.
How long does it take to receive my license?
Processing times vary depending on the state and the completeness of your application. Once your application, fingerprints, and required documents have been submitted, the state will process your license.
